Day 89.

Siiigh. *Right* as I was about to step through the door to work, too. This is why I carry around at least three extra shield liners and a spare pair of boxers and pants at all times.

(NOTE: my issues with bladder control go *years* previous to the phalloplasty, so if you’re planning on having the surgery done, this shouldn’t be as much of a concern unless you ALSO have a history of bladder-holding weakness. If you’re like me, and would have occasional accidents before the surgery: that issue’s not gonna get any better after all the parts downstairs have been shuffled around.)

Honestly thank you for this blog, you have given me real hope as a transman for my future. I just want you to know I appreciate you~~~

So glad to hear this! Believe me, I hadn’t heard of some of the options Dr. Crane offers until only a year and a half ago. Funny how the world can change so quickly, yeah?

I’m feeling like I’m not offering as much content as I used to in the past couple weeks, though. It’s been almost 3 months to the day since I had phalloplasty, and things have more or less settled back to normal by now.

So, I’ll consider this a good opportunity to mention in general: feel free to speak up about what you’d like to see on this blog! Would going to monthly photo updates be too light for folks, or is that about as often as you’d want to see photos? That’s what I might end up going with, assuming things stay more or less how they have been. There’s simply not as many changes to update about anymore.

Have you noticed any erotic sensation yet? Also, props for being so open pal!

Thanks, Anon! You’ve got great timing– I wanted to bring this up sometime soon, ‘cause it’s a perfect example of how, for these kind of surgeries, there are some outcomes you just can’t expect ahead of time.

See, my original plumbing had a clit that was, in a word, “overenthusiastic.” It was so hypersensitive, I couldn’t bear to ever have it touched– it wasn’t sexy, it was *painful!*

So for my phalloplasty, when they gave me the option to have it buried within the new phallus or keep it open to the surface, my thinking was simple: of COURSE I wanted that sucker covered up. I literally couldn’t come unless I buried the skin under a layer of blankets first. This would only make things easier!

Cut to me two months after the phalloplasty, when most folks get their erotic sensation back. I’m sitting there in bed, jerking away, trying all sorts of areas from base to tip, and nothing’s happening. No big deal, though. Maybe my nerves are just late bloomers.

I only realized about a week ago that it’s probably not that my nerves aren’t growing, it’s that my new dick ended up coming out *so* dang girthy that I can’t reach those nerves from touching the surface! (Not yet, anyhow.) Talk about a double-edged sword. I’m not gonna complain, believe me, but I’ll admit I would *not* have seen that one coming in terms of how my results would play out.

you are a real insporation!!!! i’ve been scrolling through your blog all day so i gotta ask how soon after the surgery were you able to go back to work or school or just around the timeline of how long it took you to be able to move around and do things yourself

Thanks! That really means a lot, to hear I’ve been of help to anyone. 😀

When I first scheduled the phalloplasty, I was told it was best to not go back to work until a full month after the surgery date (just a low-key office job; if I was in, say, construction, I know the recommended wait time is longer).

After the surgery, I was healing up fantastically at the start. “You should be able to go home in three weeks!” my surgeon told me. Great news! And here I’d booked a local hotel for the whole month.

I’m glad I kept the reservation, though, ‘cause I came down with an infection after a week that nobody saw coming, to no fault of the surgeon; it was entirely bad luck on my part. Turned out, I needed all four weeks before I went back to work after all.

So, best to plan for the time you *might* need instead of scrambling for the time you end up needing, I say. [nod nod]

Your hand mobility is really increasing! I’m so happy for you!

Woo! Thanks oodles– I’m thrilled, too! Though I’ve found I can’t rest on my laurels for too long. I’ve had my compression glove off and haven’t been doing my hand exercises for only three days now, and already I can’t touch my thumb to my pinky anymore. Word to the wise– you need to keep up your flexing if you want to stay limber!

your dick looks SO GOOD!!!! ive only seen phalloplastys without a defined glans did you ask for that? (hope this is ok to ask sorry)

Thanks much! And sure, it’s plenty fine to ask me. :3

As far as I know, there are other kinds of phalloplasties where the first surgery, to get the ‘tube’ of the phallus, is simply Stage One, and a glansplasty comes later.

With Dr. Crane’s forearm phalloplasties, everything I requested came in the one surgery (phalloplasty and glansplasty, no scrotoplasty and no vaginectomy, though those were both offered as options for the same surgery date if I had preferred to have those as well).

I wish I was Tumblr-savvy enough to know how to reply to multiple Anons at the same time on my phone, but these pics are for the two of you who wanted proof that I’m “dual-wielding” as far as genitalia.

(Also, for the Anon who phrased it like that, I’m pointing and yelling NERRRRD at you as much as I can for my own self getting the reference in the first place.) :3

Is urination working any better for you now? Do you now finally feel comfortable and safe peeing out of your new phallus?

Thankfully, yes! The double fistulas finally closed up as of the Saturday before last, and I’m able to go about my business without any issues. [wipes sweat from brow]

I still regret that I didn’t think to record any footage of it when I was having the triple-stream issues, but believe me, not having to worry about spraying *everywhere* anymore is a HUGE load off my mind, haha.
